The Diana Garden Resort and Pattaya School No. 3 are teaming up to create a course to teach hotel occupational skills to youths.
School head of academics Jariya Ruaysawad and teachers met with Diana Group Managing Director Sopin Thappajug June 12 to begin developing the curriculum for the “School in Hotel” program.
The course, open to students from grades 1-9, is aimed at producing future hospitality-industry employees and comply with a government goal of reducing classroom time in exchange for hands-on vocational training.
Previously Diana Garden and School No. 3 created a classroom curriculum about hotel management. The new School in Hotel course will place students at the Diana Group hotel to give them fundamental knowledge and professional skills.
