Children from the Human Help Network shelters hunted for eggs and won prizes at their seventh-annual Easter party.
The April 2 bash was principally sponsored by Elfi Seitz, editor of the Pattaya Blatt newspaper, who donated 20,000 baht to HHN Director Radchada Chomjinda, who organized everything. Elfi also gave out 150 colored Easter eggs.
Children from the Child Protection and Development Center and ASEAN Learning Center enjoyed the party and especially receiving gifts in the middle of the year.
Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t as festive with the clouds opening up just as volunteers were hiding Easter eggs in the CPDC garden. Realizing the rain was not going to stop, the soggy volunteers went back outside to collect the eggs and hid them inside the center’s function hall.
There were also paper eggs for both kids and adults with prize slips hidden inside. The kids had their best manners on display, lining up to each take a prize pick without pushing and shoving.
After their Easter meal, the children started to dance for themselves as much as for the audience. Beate Muller-Werner and partner Klaus Fay joined in and taught the kids how to do the Cha-Cha.
