IB Diploma students from Garden International School (GIS) have been visiting a local Thai school to help teach children English.
The International Baccalaureate (IB) students created a mini-English course for the primary students at a nearby school. They planned, organised and then taught the lessons every week. This was part of their Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS) project, which is an important part of the IB Diploma.
IB Diploma Coordinator Mr Beales said, “It’s great that these students have taken the initiative and delivered such a useful project. This is more evidence that IB goes beyond academic excellence and prepares students for university and beyond far more than any other courses.”
GIS is based in Ban Chang near Pattaya.
