IB Diploma students from Garden International School (GIS) spent a day helping a Pattaya charity. They visited the Hand to Hand Foundation in Pattaya, where they played with children, made lunch, prepared a wall for painting and created a vegetable garden.

The Hand to Hand Foundation cares for children and families from challenging backgrounds. Before visiting, the IB students planned the day with a series of activities for the children and also improvement works. This included preparing a garden area and cleaning an outside wall, in preparation for some new paint.

This visit was part of the students’ Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS), an integral part of the IB Diploma that encourages students to develop themselves in non-academic ways. IB students organised the trip themselves, with help from CAS Co-ordinator Ms Clifton.
