Students from Garden International School (GIS) have been helping the environment as they took part in a coral planting activity in Pattaya.

International Baccalaureate (IB) students in Year 13 went on an eco-friendly trip to Long Beach in Pattaya as part of their Creativity, Action, Service (CAS) project.

Some of the Year 12 (IB1) students also decided to join in so they could get an idea about how to successfully organise a trip for their CAS project next year. At the beach, students planted coral under the supervision and guidance of Thai Marines. After that, they listened to some advice and suggestions about how to protect the environment and how to return the coral reefs to their natural habitat.

When the planting was done, there was time to enjoy the marine life up close as students went snorkelling. The day ended with a beach clean up, to make sure the land also looked good.
