Children of migrant workers received free Thai-language lessons and health checks courtesy of the Human Help Network.
American volunteers were joined by HHN Thailand outreach workers at the Jan. 18 event at the MPN construction camp in Jomtien Beach.
Volunteers Donna and Howard led a morning exercise routine and organized games and songs.
Thai speakers then conducted a basic class teaching the 44-character Thai alphabet. Kids had to match photos of two characters, an exercise that helps in memorization. They then traced dotted lines to learn writing each character.
After all the hard work, the kids were given snacks and milk.
