More than 350 Sattahip students received 840,000 baht in scholarships as part of the navy’s annual Mother’s Day commemoration.
Vice Adm. Chumsak Nakwijit, commander of the Sattahip Naval Base, chaired the Aug. 8 ceremony at the navy’s Singsamut School.
Principal Prasit Luengthong said the navy and school annually give scholarships to needy students with good grades for Mother’s Day.
This year the navy awarded 152 scholarships worth 1,500 baht for primary school and 204 scholarships worth 3,000 baht each for high school.
