Nongprue officials extolled the virtues of milk at a seminar on nutrition for special needs children.
Deputy Mayor Suwat Rachatawattanakul opened the Jan. 19 meeting where Chaleena Nuangjamnong, a nurse from Banglamung Hospital, explained the parents of special-needs kids that milk is an essential part of a child’s diet and can help in the development of impaired children.
Clerk Teerawit Thongnok said the sub-district is aware mentally challenged children need extra care and has launched a program to provide free milk to special-needs children Wednesday-Friday in the third week of each month.
