Nongprue Kindergarten became the first in the Pattaya area to win a Royal Award from HM the King as the region’s largest nursery.
Mayor Mai Chaiyanit led an Aug. 18 parade of sub-district councilors, teachers and students to celebrate the royal award.
The kindergarten project was launched after being granted a 32.5-rai, 26-million-baht parcel by the Ministry of Finance in Moo 1 village. The land offered a potentially stunning view and needed only a little improvement.

The school and is public garden officially opened in 2009 to kindergarten grades 1-3 with 21 classrooms per grade, each capable of holding 30 students. Kithisak Sirirert was appointed director.
Kithisak said it was an honor to receive the royal award. The school will now focus on education, sports development, and improving the environment.
