Coaches from Pattaya United Football Club taught Nong Plalai youths how to defend and score during the sub-district’s summer youth football camp.
Mayor Pinyo Homklan and top local officials were on hand as the Dolphins coaches took to the pitch with about 30 area teens.
The project was initiated to develop sports in the area and give youths a chance to exercise and keep them away from drugs.
The pro coaches taught basic football techniques and ran the youths through their paces.
It’s hoped the youths will grow a love and appreciation for playing sports so much they can play on high-level teams. It’s also a great diversion from anti-social behavior and drug use.
