The Regent’s International School in Pattaya performed at the annual Pattaya International Ladies Lunch in the Royal Cliff Hotel on December 7th.
The Grand Ballroom provided a magnificent venue for the musicians aged 9 to 18, with its wondrous ice sculptures and beautifully set tables.

McKenna Sanchez (Year 5) and Lisa (Year 12) began the festive slot singing the King’s Anthem beautifully. This was followed with the Regent’s Soul Band, a 16 piece band with a drummer, a percussionist, a horn section, a keyboard player, lead and bass guitarists, and two lead singers, singing ‘Santa Claus Is Coming To Town’ and ‘I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day’.
The Upper Key Stage 2 Chamber Choir followed with an entertaining version of ‘The Carol of the Drum’, accompanied by three Primary students playing the drums and a keyboard. This was followed with a ‘Song for Peace’ and finally a popular Xmas carol medley, including such favourites as ‘Silent Night’, ‘Away in a Manger’ and ‘We three Kings’.
Finally, the 12 piece Secondary School Brass Band ended the Regent’s performance with the popular Christmas carols Silent Night, While Shepherds Watch Their Flocks By Night and O Come, All Ye Faithful.
The students enjoyed a marvelous lunch, as provided by the PILC after their performance and were delighted to receive a visit from Santa, who’d taken time out of his busy schedule to bring a small gift to each performer!
Ladies from the PILC very much enjoyed the Regent’s performances, which added festive spirit and joy to the occasion.
