Year 6 students at Regents international School Pattaya made the most of the school’s brand new science facility last week. Armed with school iPads, they set about learning more about fossils and how they are formed.

The new science rooms – nicknamed ‘The Hive’, because Primary (Elementary) students can expect to be as busy as bees when they are in them – provide a specially-designed space for science and technology lessons. The Hive is just the latest in Regents’ ongoing programme of re-development, which by the end of this year will represent THB 300 million of investment in just under three years.

Primary-aged students at Regents now study science in ‘The Hive’.

Head of Primary, Nonie Adams, is pleased with the impact that The Hive is having on her students’ appreciation of science and technology. “For our younger students, this is an opportunity to develop a love of science which hopefully they will sustain for a lifetime. And for the older students, like these Year 6s, it is an ideal environment for them to prepare for the more advanced science they will encounter next September when they move up into the Secondary School.”

‘The Hive’ is part of a long-term investment in the school’s facilities.
