Hard work, a lot of stress, and of course a united team. That was the story behind the success of this year’s Rayong English Programme School performance of Modish Alice @ Wonderland. It was a modern version set in our present time, where technology has taken over so much of what we do every day that we fail to realize the beauty among us.

The story of the play begins with Alice chatting on her phone and suddenly encounters a rabbit, which she ends up following down a black hole. She arrives at the bottom of the hole only to find that she loses all connection to the real world for her phone has gone dead. She then proceeds into the wonderful world of adventure where she encounters sarcastic talking doors, a lovely garden with talking flowers, and of course the Cheshire Cat, Mad Hatter and Friends and everyone’s favorite, the Caterpillar who smokes a hookah. There are lots of fun with Tweedledee and Tweedledum rapping and Humpty Dumpty falling off her egg.

Modish Alice and the Coolest Caterpillar.

Alice is warned not to say a certain magic word that would make all the characters dance, by order of the Queen of Hearts, of course. During her journey, she gets teased quite a lot and in the end she encounters the King and Queen of Hearts who accuse her of stealing the tarts. After her hilarious trial, Alice is found guilty and is sentenced to death. As everyone threatens to cut off her head, Alice awakes, back in the present times.

Two sold out performances with lots of singing, dancing, and brilliant acting, made this production one for REPS students and families to remember forever.
