Rotary Club and Italian community donate rice to local schools

The Rotary Club of Jomtien-Pattaya with the cooperation of the Italian Community in Pattaya initiated a project to raise funds to buy rice for local schools and children’s organizations in the area.

Sponsorships amounted to 21,000 baht for which 1550 kg of rice was bought.

On January 6, President Nachlada Nammontree and Ket Battaglino including members of the Rotary Club made the presentations to the various schools and children’s homes.

They included the Pattaya Orphanage, Ban Nong Chark Ngaew School, Hua Yai School, Ban Nok School, Hand to Hand Foundation, Ban Jing Jai Foundation and the Child Protection and Development Center.

On behalf of the beneficiaries, President Nachlada thanked Paolo Battaglino, his wife Ket and daughter Rita and their friends Francesco and Fancesca Braccio and Lorenzo Bottazzi for their generosity in helping to raise the funds for this humanitarian undertaking.
