Sawang Boriboon Wittaya School opened their newest building to teach Thai, English and Chinese and spread knowledge on Thai-Chinese traditions.
Gao Zhen Ting, charge d’affaires and senior consul of for the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China, joined Chonburi Gov. Khomsan Ekachai, Culture Minister Sukumol Kunplome and Visit Chaowalitnitithum, president of the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Foundation, at the Sept. 29 opening.
Sawang Boriboon Wittaya was founded in 2001 on 30 rai near the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Foundation to sponsor education for youths in Pattaya. It began with a three-story building with only 12 teachers and 100 students. The school has grown, now offering kindergarten through Mattayom 3 in three languages.

Currently, there are 2,078 students, 142 teachers and 25 staff. In the future, there are plans to expand education to Mattayom 6 and build another pre-school building.
The 108 million baht building is eight stories with classrooms, conference halls, recreational halls, science education rooms, music and art rooms.
Mr. Gao Zhen Ting stated that Sawang Boriboon Wittaya is a school that will facilitate exchange of Thai and Chinese traditions, languages, cultures reflecting the strong relationship between Thais and Chinese.
Students dressed in traditional Chinese outfits entertain the honored guests with song and dance.
