This year’s SOS Rice Appeal will take place from the 3rd to the 5th December at locations throughout Pattaya.
This annual campaign is organised by the Father Ray Foundation to raise food to feed the 850 underprivileged children and students with disabilities currently in its care.
From the 3rd to the 5th December the children and students from the Foundation will be at supermarkets throughout the city and you can also donate at most 7-Eleven stores in Pattaya, and all they ask is that you add an extra bag of rice to your shopping basket and donate it to the children. All cash collected in donation boxes will be used to purchase food for the children.
Your donation will ensure the blind students, the children with special needs and the vocational students with disabilities will have enough food so they can concentrate on their studies. It will also help feed the toddlers who attend the Father Ray Day Care Center and who receive a nutritious breakfast on arrival. Your donation will also mean the residents of the Father Ray Children’s Home, Children’s Village and the Drop-In Center never go to bed feeling hungry.
Each year the Father Ray Foundation uses 75,000kgs of rice, but this year they also need cooking oil, salt, sugar, fish sauce, canned fish and dried noodles.
