The South Pattaya Community organized a week’s worth of evening activities to keep neighborhood children away from drugs.
Prasert Lemlae closed out the May 17-24 “developing quality of life” campaign on Soi Batman, which encouraged local youths to try various activities in hopes they find a hobby that will keep them occupied, off the internet and away from drugs.
Throughout the week volunteers led classes from 4-6 p.m. on painting, drawing, English-speaking and games. All the kids also got free refreshments.
Organizers also encouraged parents in attendance to encourage their children to put down their phones and computers and engage in real-world activities and reduce their time on Facebook, Line and video games.
