Gay activist and hotel owner Jim Lumsden celebrated his 56th birthday after some unexpected delay, but all the expected bombast.
Many of his friends helped celebrate the managing director of the Baan Suay Resort’s birthday. The 500-baht entrance fee included a drink and sent 200 baht to the Heart2000 HIV/AIDS charity.
Lumsden received the guests while wearing a cocktail dress and woman’s hat before changing costumes and putting on a stage show.
Lumsden was joined on stage by Keith “Boy” George, who resembles the aging British pop star and generated vigorous applause.

Show groups from the Mimosa transvestite cabaret, the Coffee Shop Show in Boyz Town and young, male exotic dancers from the Boyz Boyz Boyz go-go bar performed.
