Eastern region doctors were updated on the latest information for treating strokes and other neurological diseases at a seminar hosted by Bangkok Hospital Pattaya.
Dr. Decha Kinthorn, director of the Bangkok Neuroscience Center, opened Nov. 23 workshop by providing surgeons, physicians and nurses with the latest updates on brain diseases and treatment.
Dr. Sombat Mungtaveepong, expert in stroke and neurological emergency at Thammasart University Hospital, provided an update on stroke-treatment guidelines while Dr. Thamrongkiat Amornwiwattanakul lectured on “practical and interesting points” in approaches for treating strokes in hospital environments.
Bangkok Hospital Pattaya’s intention was to support the development of neurologists and improve the quality of care for brain patients.
The seminar served as a forum for experts in the field to exchange information and experiences and review cases and fatalities over the past year to determine where better treatment might have made a difference.
