Central Festival Pattaya Beach carried on its quarterly fire drills into 2015, this time led by the Pattaya Police Station.
General Manager Tatrat Meekhamsat welcomed Pol. Lt. Col. Pawatchai Sudsakorn, deputy superintendent of crime suppression, and Pattaya City Councilman Rattanachai Sutidechanai to the March 26 drill.
Both theoretical and practical training was offered to reduce risks to life and property.
In theoretical training, attendees were educated on basic fire fighting knowledge, such as fire components, types of fire extinguishers and how to use them, basic things to do in a fire, and how to inform relevant divisions of the shopping mall.
In practical training they learned to put out fire caused by gas, oil, and electricity, and how to put out fires in grease pans.
