The Chonburi Provincial Administrative Organization joined the Father Ray Foundation, Y.W.C.A. Bangkok Pattaya Center and local businesses to support earthquake victims in the “Care for Japan” project.

The Father Ray Foundation organized the fundraiser to help victims of the southern Japan quakes, which have killed 40 people and resulted in more than 1,000 aftershocks, as the country has been generous in its support of the charity.

Funds were raised from non-profit organizations and private individuals. Kids from the foundation put on a show to help generate donations.

Money also was solicited from governmental organizations and the Thai-Japanese Association. Proceeds from t-shirt sales throughout May will be given to the cause.

Pattaya City Councilman Rattanachai Sutidechanai said the city is always willing to be of help in order to support people in need. Organizations involved have already looked into the matter and are asking similar organizations to raise funds and collect needed donations to help as much as possible.
