The all-new Central Marina shopping center reopened in North Pattaya after a billion-baht renovation.
Previously known as Central Center, the mall was commonly referred to as Big C North Pattaya. The Big C Supercenter remains as the anchor store, but the mall has received upgrades and additions across the board and now has a more modern, trendy feel.
A main focus of the upgrade was on the restaurant front, including the addition of a new Food Park, premium seafood market, sports and fashion outlets, outdoor markets and more.
There’s also an area called the ‘Public House’ which is a new trendy area for those who like to hang out. SF Cinemas also spruced up its six-screen theater.
The mall is offering promotions for shoppers who spend more than 1,000 baht, offering gifts and vouchers.
Central Pattaya Group Deputy Managing Director Natakit Thangpulsinthana said Pattaya is among the top three travel destinations in Thailand and a growing property market, two things that give the company high hopes for the first mall it opened outside Bangkok. CPN now also operates Central Festival Pattaya Beach in the city.
Central Marina was designed around a marina theme using the concept of a fisherman’s village where visitors can indulge all their senses. The objective is to provide something new to Pattaya and create yet another popular landmark for shoppers to enjoy.
A three-story parking garage now houses 800 cars and 500 motorbikes. The mall now features a McDonald’s restaurant and the largest Nike shoe outlet in the region.
