The Diana Group led a group of local organizations in celebrating the start of Buddhist Lent by offering candles and supplies to monks at area temples.
Hotel group Managing Director Sopin Thappajug was joined by representatives from Bangkok Bank’s Pratamnak Hill branch, the Pattaya Press Club, YWCA Bangkok-Pattaya Center, Themjai Club and the Child and Women Protection Center for the July 11 donation ceremony.
A 1.9 metric ton load of candles was split between Nongprue Temple (480 kilograms), Khao Bothong Temple (480 kg.) and Sutthawat Temple (660 kg.)
Bangkok Bank presented the first set, the YWCA the second and Sopin the third.
