Bangkok Hospital Pattaya trained young disabled students at the Redemptorist School for Persons with Disabilities how to swim safely and rescue swimmers in trouble.

Instructors from the Underwater and Aviation Medicine Division at Arpakornkietwong Hospital at Sattahip Naval Base spoke to 30 children ages 10-15 at the foundation April 28.

The morning session featured a lecture on survival skills in the water by Lt. Saweak Paungbanlang, while in the afternoon, staff from Bangkok Hospital Pattaya took the kids for practical training.

The goal of the iRescue program was to make youths aware of the danger of swimming accidents, how to prepare the children properly, and train them in first aid and survival skills.
