For Brian Songhurst, a well-known British expat in Pattaya, turning 60 was such a big deal, he celebrated it twice.
Songhurst’s friend, Peter Barnwell, treated him to a private dinner with a handful of friends at the Macy restaurant on April 29 to enjoy home-style food.
The real birthday party took place at the Royal Cliff Hotels Group on his true date of birth, May 2. On this occasion, many more friends were invited to join and all seemed to have a good time and enjoy the buffet.
He got a cake on both occasions and friends jokingly reminded him to watch the calories.
