Tara Pattana International School hosted the school’s first Farmers’ Market on Saturday, 16th January 2016.
The aim was to further the school’s philosophy on eating fresh, healthy and local foods. Many local businesses and residents who share the same philosophy were successfully brought together at the event, including Patricia’s homemade jams and pickles, and 100% organic coffee, rice, and eco-friendly household products by Alisa Kukarja of Seedling Organics.
The Farmers’ Market will take place every second Saturday of the month during school terms.
The next one will be held on 6th February 2016, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., in conjunction with the school’s Family Fun Day.
Interested potential customers check out the organic items on display.
Youngsters enjoy getting up close to, and feeding the farm animals.
