The Lions Club of Pattaya-Taksin donated five wheelchairs to Nongprue communities to distribute to indigent disabled residents.
The Jan. 12 communities meeting at the sub-district office also saw the Baan Kang Tha-E-Tor Community bring organically grown vegetables to present to Mayor Mai Chaiyanit as a new year’s gift.
The periodic meeting of the Nongprue Sub-district community groups was split into sections by Social Welfare Department Chief Pattama Chanchiew to work on community plans and devise ways to promote the Jan. 15 Communities’ Commissions meeting on the Chonburi’s 2016 budget.

Representatives also were invited to participate in the Nongprue Shop & Eat market on the first Wednesday of every month at the municipal office.
Community leaders also were briefed by the Finance Division about tax-payment season, which runs Feb. 16-March 13.
