Nongprue makes merit for HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s 5th cycle, 60th birthday

Nongprue residents paid homage to HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn on her 60th birthday with a merit-making ceremony.

Mayor Mai Chaiyanit and his wife, Jamniern, the chairwoman of the Nongprue Women’s Development Club, led a group of officials, military, police, civil servants, vendors, and local residents in a merit-making ceremony on April 2, HRH the Princess’s birthday.

Sixty-one monks were invited to receive alms of dried food and rice for the occasion.

Hosting such activities is a way of showing loyalty and respect on special occasions, such as HRH the Princess’s fifth-cycle birthday.
