Mayor Itthiphol Kunplome and top city officers bid a happy new year to more than 500 members of the Pattaya Elderly Club.
The vast majority of the club’s 700 members turned out for the Jan. 8 event. The club offers memberships to Pattaya residents 55 years and older and engages in health promotion, exercise, recreational activities and health education.
At the New Year’s event, members prayed and paid respects to Buddha and received training on good health and working together.
The mayor appeared at 11am and wished all a Happy New Year. Itthiphol also briefed the club on city events and activities planned for this year.
