The percentage of children with vision issues – nearly 10 percent of the school’s 2,094 students – was considered high and the eye professionals said part of the problem may come from kids spending too much time staring at mobile phones, tablets and computer screens too much.

Fourth-grader Nithiya Thrairaj told the PSC duo that she finds it difficult to read or write due to near-sightedness. She received her first pair of glasses when she was 10 and still has difficulties reading from time to time.

She said she was happy to get new, high-quality glasses with a new prescription.

Noi will deliver the new spectacles by Nov. 22. The PSC said the exams and glasses cost the club about 60,000 baht.
