The Pattaya Sports Club brought medical equipment, refrigerators, computers and other household items to Sattahip Temple’s Health Center to improve life for district residents.
President Pratheep Malhotra was joined by Nittaya Patimasongkroh, chairwoman of the YWCA Bangkok-Pattaya Center’s “Warm Family” program, and other PSC leaders at the Oct. 29 presentation.

Items donated include two blood-pressure measurement devices, two computers, two refrigerators, two office tables with chairs, and two 42-inch televisions. The donation was accepted by Dr. Supakij Pongketsuntorn, director of Sattahip Hospital, and nurses.
Malhotra said the medical equipment donated was for the center to use in support of public health, especially for the elderly and young children.
Although the center has limits to its facilities, the PSC wishes to support and provide all help necessary for the center to provide residents with quality service by using some of the latest technological devices.
The Community Health Center moved to Sattahip’s Temple in the heart of Sattahip on October 1st. The center is still in need of more medical equipment and improvement to the existing facilities.
Since the main Sattahip Hospital is quite far from this area, a reachable health center was needed and now helps 2,000-2,500 patients per month. The center consists of 1 doctor, 7 nurses, 1 dentist and 1 medical pharmacy staff. Most services are free.
