Eighty children from different orphanages in Pattaya received presents from the Rotary Club of the Eastern Seaboard, Rayong Lady’s Circle and private sponsors from the Netherlands as early Christmas gifts.

The Dec. 15 party held at the Diana Garden Resort was for children from the Human Help Network group, Pim’s Day Care Center, Take Care Kids, and Pak Ping Kum Pai. All the children and the adults caring for them were treated to a spaghetti lunch.

Peter Schoenherr was one of the main sponsors of the event.

Wine for the grownups was brought by Dutch sponsors like Peter and Sandra Scoenherr.

After lunch the Thai anthem was played and Santa Claus, aka Rodney Charman, arrived with gifts from the club, the Scoenherrs and Dutch sponsors Aad and Witha Scholtes.

Children from the Pak Ping Kum Pai Foundation sang Christmas carols.

Children from every shelter sang Christmas carols and brought the Christmas mood to everyone attending.

Another group of children from the Human Help Network showed off their classical Thai dance moves.

Then the kids made a long line to receive presents and a few wise words from Santa.

When Doc Penguin entered the stage, another cheer went up since he is a much-loved magician.

RCEB President Charman thanked all the guests, sponsors and management of the Diana Garden who helped to make the event possible.

Doc Penguin kept everyone amazed with his tricks.
