Pattaya Redemptorist Vocational School for Persons with Disabilities gave a lending hand to local flood victims, opening a center to repair electrical appliances for free.

City Councilman Rattanachai Sutidechanai presided over the Sept. 20 start of the program at the Soi Paniadchang school.

Students and teachers offered to try and repair televisions, fans, refrigerators, laundry machines, and other items to save flood victims even more expense than they’re already incurring from recovering from tropical depression Vamco.

While not all items can be repaired – computerized circuits are extremely vulnerable to water damage – the school took in as many appliances as possible with hopes of returning them in working order.
