A belated New Year’s gift recently arrived at the Redemptorist Vocational School for People with Disabilities in the form of a very large container from Germany.
The container was full of wheelchairs, walking frames, support chairs and crutches which will be donated to those in need both at the vocational school and in the local community.
This annual delivery is organized by Jens Maspfuhl and the organization he founded, DUK, a German based charitable organization whose aim is to provide aid and support, raise awareness and promote integration for people living with disabilities in society.
Previous deliveries have included much needed fitness equipment, all designed to make it easy for a person with a disability to use.
The students were very excited to receive their new wheelchairs and all agreed that getting around would now be a lot easier.
