The Thai-Korean Chamber of Commerce officially delivered a new multipurpose building it sponsored to the Banglamung Home for Boys.

TKCC Vice President Kim Do-Soon presented the keys to the new structure to Siridawan Sararum, guardian of the foster home.

The building will be a place to organize activities for 184 boys ages 7-18 being cared for at the home. Most of the boys came from homes with family problems or were abandoned and orphaned.

Mr. Kim Do Soon , Vice President of Thai-Korean Chamber Commerce and Mr. Lee Jun Sub, SEO of SGA (Thailand) together with Miss Siridawan Sararum, guardian of the Banglamung Home for Boys cut the ceremonial ribbon.

Kim said TKCC places importance on social responsibility. Moreover, it has continuously helped society including the donation of 800,000 baht to build the 352-sq.-meter building. Construction began on Feb. 25 and wrapped April 4.

Kim said the boys home previously had no place to organize activities so the chamber teamed up with Security Global Alliance to build the structure and donate an additional 200,000 baht for related expenses.

He said the TKCC has previously donated water-filtration systems for children’s clean drinking water and supported expansion of school cafeterias.

Children celebrate by putting on a song and dance show for their benefactors.

The multi-purpose building in all its grandeur, the new pride and joy of the boys’ home.
