The Pattaya Women’s Development Group continued its vocational-training for members, offering a crafts making workshop.
President Naowarat Khakhay led the May 26 course for about 400 women. The event focused on creating handicrafts such as silk pots, wicker, stitching, herbs and other materials.
The group hopes that, once trained, members can sell their creations to tourists throughout Pattaya to raise extra money for their households.

The Women’s Development Group is planning a series of vocational-training workshops this year, covering traditional Thai dance, painting artificial jars and decoupage.
The next event will be a field trip to Chanthaburi June 12-13 to provide members with experience in marketing their goods. There also will be language classes in Chinese and English.
