The Green Valley course was in great shape as usual, even though you could have had a swim in the bunkers Wednesday. It hammered down with rain for a few hours, and the course was wet in places but after an hour or so carts were allowed on the fairways.

With just two groups of ladies and 4 groups of men we were away a little early on a deserted course and were in in just over three hours. I think the threatening rain must have got everyone going, and although we got a shower, it wasn’t much – just a sprinkle.
In the ladies’ competition, Miss Prae took the top spot with a handicap equaling 36 points. Miss Sa took 2nd with 34 points.
In the men’s competition, Sel Wegner just got beaten on a count back by Peter LeNoury, both scoring 35 points, which wasn’t good enough to take Wayne Cotterell off the pedestal for the top prize with his 38 points.
There were two 2s coming from Peter LeNoury and Fergus Brennan.
