Pattaya Gears Up for 2024 SUP Competition: Exciting water sports event set for January 18-19.

PATTAYA, Thailand – Deputy Mayor Kritsana Boonsawad chaired a meeting to prepare for the Stand-Up Paddleboard (SUP) competition as part of Pattaya’s annual water sports event, organized by Pattaya’s Tourism and Sports Office, and it will be held on January 18-19, at the Jomtien Beach Water Sports Arena.

The objective is to provide athletes with continuous competitive opportunities, promote good health through exercise for youth and the general public, and offer a chance for future Thai national team athletes to emerge. The competition also aims to boost Pattaya’s image as a sports city and a hub for sports tourism.


The meeting focused on finalizing preparations, including competition formats, venue setup at the Jomtien Beach water sports area, ocean space arrangements, lighting, portable toilets, trash bins, and cleaning staff. Additionally, plans for safety and convenience were discussed, with two rescue boats and emergency medical teams on standby, along with traffic management and public awareness campaigns to ensure a smooth event. The goal is to host a well-organized and successful competition.
