PSC Golf from The Caddy Shack

Tuesday, Feb. 10, Mt. Shadow – Stableford

Tuesday saw us travel to Mountain Shadow, under clear skies with a light breeze and the course in good overall condition.  Firm fairways were providing plenty of assistance, while the greens were their usual testing selves.

On this day, no-one really came to grips with the challenge and although there was some flashes of good play it could not be sustained to post a decent score.  Bob Edwards (H/cap 11) led the way with a paltry 28 points, while Jeff Wylie (6) & Jason Barnett (4) needed to go to the last 3 holes on count back after both signed for 27 points.

Near pins went to Bob, Derek & Jason with 2, with Caddyshack providing additional prizes for those winners.

Thursday, Feb. 12, Crystal Bay – Stableford

Crystal Bay was the venue for Thursday, with the fairways in good condition, while the rough was very dry and firm.  Greens remain a little patchy with various species of grass making putting problematical on occasions, particularly on long putts through several different grasses.

Joel Flor (H/cap 23) played well at times to record a solid 34 points, while Jeff came home in an ambulance after a good front nine, to finish with a disappointing 28 points.

Note: The CaddyShack Restaurant & Bar is located off Soi 17 3rd Rd, or Soi 8 off Thepprasit Rd, South Pattaya.  Golf from here will be generally played on Tuesday & Thursday with all competition fees returned in prizes, and the support of the owner offering additional incentives for golfers.

As a PSC affiliated venue we welcome ALL golfers, including ladies & seniors (>60s) who have opted for the “Silver” tee option.  Call 089 094 1841 for scheduling or enquiries.  Hope to see you there, cheers & good golfing!
