PSC Golf from Mulligans Lakeside
Tuesday, July 5, Rayong C.C. – Stableford
Tuesday was a visit to Rayong Country Club where the course was in reasonable condition considering the price structure used there. It’s especially good value for the increasing number of cart riders, must be a sign of the times, but have you noticed how more and more golfers are using carts, or is it my imagination.
On to the golf and it was recently reduced Ray Spence (15) who showed the way, ahead of Bill Bertram (9) while Jeff Wylie (7) was left to pick up the scraps.
Thursday, July 7, Pleasant Valley – Stableford
Thursday saw us travel north along Hwy 7 to play Pleasant Valley, where upon early arrival for our 10.00 am tee off, both the 1st & 10th had several groups waiting to tee off. Some hasty negotiation and we came up with a plan, so no waiting, who says the art of conversation is dead.
Derek as we remember him, with a smile & trophy after golf.
The course was in good condition and only seems to get better each visit, although it still seems to have its detractors.
Jeff Wylie (7) played a good deal better today with Matt Anderson (17) just coming up short, despite having some good holes.
It is Sunday as I write this report and it is with much sadness that I advise that our good mate Derek passed away this morning. I am sure I speak for all his golfing partners and acquaintances in passing on heartfelt condolences to his family.
