Friday, April 20, Panorama G.C. – Stableford
It was a tough test of golf here today and some very difficult holes with tight tree lined fairways. If you hadn’t played here before it was an interesting scenario of which line to take off the tee. Off the red tees for the week, Andres won division 2 with 42 points, Alan Bissell was second on 35, Rick Assi was third on 29 and 15 points behind the winner in fourth place came Tom Novak with 27.
Stuart Thompson’s 36 points won division 1 with Dave Edwards second on 35, Tim Hake third with 33 and Dennis Scougall finished fourth with 30 points.
Near pins went to (Div 1) Dave Edwards, Tim Hake and Bob Poole (2), and (Div 2) Kari Aarnio and Alan Bissell (2).
There were no ‘2’s in division 1 but in division 2 with two rollovers Alan Bissell birdied the 2nd and 11th, and he was a happy chappy!
After three rounds the overall winner was Andres with 107 points, Tim was second on 106, Rick third with 102, Stuart fourth on 100 and in fifth place was Bob Poole on 99.
It was a great week with some lovely courses and we were very lucky with the weather.
