The Backyard Golf Society
It was another good turnout for the Backyard Golf Society’s weekly game at Emerald Golf Course. 9 players this week and with everyone in all competitions it was good to welcome back Tony C. (from his abbreviated trip to China) and Neville from his European vacation.
Arriving on the tee it was good to see our friendly starter had retained his sense of humour after the verbals he got last week as he made a point of explaining that we only had a two-ball in front of us!

No injuries to report this week so with everyone completing the round in under 4hrs it was into the clubhouse for prize giving. The stableford competition turned out to be extremely close with Andy Oz just edging out Terry C. on a 21 to 18 count back score in his winning total of 38pts.
No nearest the pin prize this week, due to a lack of communication about the flag, so with this being rolled over it was onto the skins. To say Andy Oz dominated would be an understatement as he walked off with 14 out of 18 skins with the other 4 going to Terry C. (3) and Kit (1).
After prize giving it was off to B.C. to help relieve Oz of some of his winnings and to have a final drink with Kit as we wished him all the best on his trip back home.
