Cyclists will trek through Nong Plalai Jan. 28 to raise funds for the orphans at the Baan Jing Jai Foundation.

Nong Plalai Mayor Pinno Homklan and Jing Jai Director Piangta Chaumnoi announced the fifth-annual ride Jan. 11. Proceeds raised from entrance fees will go to pay for scholarships and daily expenses.
Members of Pattaya-area cycling club, foundation sponsors and private citizens are expected to join in either the 20- or 40-kilometer rides which begin at 9 a.m., with all completed by 1 p.m.

The ride is not a race, but certificates and trophies will be given to the top three finishers in various divisions.
Cyclists are asked to wear helmets and keep a pace of 25-30 kilometers per hour.
Registration is 300 baht per rider or 2,000 baht for a group of 10.
