PSC Golf from The Billabong Golf Bar

Monday, Sept. 21, Siam Waterside – Stableford

We played at the fantastically well-maintained Siam Waterside G.C. on Monday with 5 groups out and we got around in just on four hours.  The management here must be complimented on their organization as everything seems to run like clockwork.  The greens would have to be the best you could find anywhere – they are just so good to putt on, fast and very true.

We had one member of the group scoring 24 points on the front nine but alas he came to a grinding halt on the back nine, as did most of the other players.

Scramble winners: Paul Greenaway, Greig Ritchie, Bill Marsden and Capt Bob.

There was a count back for third place on 35 points, with Bob St. Aubin talking that spot ahead of Mihail.  Alistair Gall came in second with 37 points and taking the top spot was our friendly Irishman J.J. Harney with a fine 38 points.

There were no ‘2’s recorded.

Friday, Sept. 25, Plutaluang N & W – Scramble

We played our monthly scramble on Plutaluangs’s West and North loops today, with 18 groups and a two-tee start.

We must say a big thank you to the lady starter for making the day go smoothly for us, everything went like clockwork.  The course was in fantastic condition and the lakes were almost full after the recent rainy weather.

Bob St. Aubin with J.J. Harney and Mihail.

The Courtyard Cavaliers got back in the limelight after taking third place with a net 58.3.  Second spot went to Rick Hiate, Ed Horricks, Don Hachy and Mike Pledger with a net 58.2, but top of the podium belonged to the Billabong Bandits, a.k.a. Paul Greenaway, Bill Marsden, Greig Ritchie and Bob Philp with a net 57.9.

The Billabong plays a scramble at the Navy course on the last Friday of every month and all are welcome.  We also have a ladies tournament every Wednesday at Green Valley so if any girls want to join us you will be made very welcome by our lady captain Sa.
