Active Management Asia has announced that the inaugural Bangkok Ultra Trail Festival 2013 will take place on Sunday 18th August in Nong Chok, Bangkok.
A total of four different trail lengths will be offered to entrants including 7km, 14km, 21km and 50km distances. All races will follow a 7km lap course around the scenic and breezy Fishing Park lake in Nong Chok. Athletes will be running through the greenery and magnificence of the Thai countryside featuring paddy fields, birds, canals, buffaloes and breathtaking views of the lake.
Organizers say this will be a fun, social and festive event and the competitor’s village will include shows, live music bands as well as games for children. There is no prize money on offer and the running is for fun only. Competitors who finish the 50km course will receive a T-shirt and all runners will be given a souvenir medal.
