PSC Golf from Siam Country Resort Pattaya
Tuesday, August 9, Greenwood – Stableford
On Tuesday we drove down the 331 to Greenwood and played the A & C courses which we found to be in good condition, but the greens were slower than normal. The weather was good and not to hot so all the circumstances were set for a good round of golf.
Today Stuart Banks (H/cap 22) dominated the competition and won with 41 stableford points. Daniel Oshiro (20) had a good back nine, but not enough to overtake Stuart for the win, and came in second with 39 points.
The near pins went to Stuart Banks, Paddy Devereux (21), Jonathan Pratt (8) and Daniel Oshiro.
Thursday, August 11, Burapha – Stableford
We went to Burapha on Thursday and played the A & B courses which were in excellent condition and the greens fast and fair. We had a nice breeze and sunny weather, so again perfect conditions for good scores.
Paddy Devereux was the man of the day and played very consistently to win with 40 points. The fight for second place saw a battle between Martin Hayes (18), just back from UK, and Jonathan Pratt, with the former just edging Jonathan on count back, both with 37 points overall.
Near pins were claimed by Jonathan Pratt, Daniel Oshiro and Paddy Devereux (twice).
Note: Siam Country Resort Pattaya is located just off Siam Country Club Rd, after going under the arch past the 7/11, turn right after 50 meters, with the venue on the left another 200 meters along. Golf from here is generally played on Tuesday & Thursday, with the Resort hosting prompt presentations on both days.
