Tuesday/Friday Golf Group
Although we are not experiencing huge numbers at present we certainly are experiencing superb golfing facilities at Phoenix. I am led to understand that the company employed a new head green keeper this year and the improvement is unbelievable. The course is now back to former glories of 3 to 4 years ago with the fairways and greens in superb condition.
For the special prize of the KPK Food Services hat this week on July 10, John Bartley scored a fine 37 points, just nudging yours truly into second place with 36 points. I don’t mind, I had my 15 minutes of fame last Friday with my first hole in one at the par 3 Ocean 7th hole.

To make the pain of spending a few baht on drinks for the boys go away, I went to the insurance company to claim my funds back. Strong stuff this insurance!
Back to the golf, and both the near pins were awarded to Richard Baldwin, whilst the lucky draw prizes (donated by our hosts The Relax Bar) went to Paul Taylor (back after a long absence), Dieter Wenzel (first time attendance) and Stuart Gordon (as if he wouldn’t win something).
With a free massage voucher from last week, I retreated into the back room where I dozed off for an hour whilst being relaxed by the lovely Litha and her soft hands.
