Another small group out today as most of our friends are still away for the madness that is Songkran in Pattaya.  Also another hot day for golf as the weather is getting more like what you would expect for this time of year.

Terry Mangan had his first outright win with us today as he scored thirty five points to take top spot on the podium.  Peter Wallace secured second place with thirty four points, beating Pat Carty on a count back.  We had no ‘2’s today.

1st John Batty (8) 37pts

2nd Kevin O;Sullivan (14) 30pts

White Flight

1st John Fenwick (19) 32pts

2nd Alec Smith (21) 29pts

After what was a delayed start due to Songkran and another holiday last week we were finally back to what is going to be our weekly Thursday game for the next six months, here at Burapha.  We played the A and B nines and although the group was small we divided up with half playing off the long blue tees and half off the shorter whites.

Although the blues are much longer and more difficult we still got what was by far the best scores off them.  Jon Batty was the man of the match and won with an excellent score of thirty seven points.  Kevin O’Sullivan was a distant seven points behind but he still got second ahead of Lyle Blaw on count back.  Lyle has just returned and was playing very well on the front nine where he had twenty points but unfortunately the wheels fell off and he had only ten on the inward half.

Off the white tees John Fenwick was the winner with thirty two points and Alec Smith, who is also just back, came second with twenty nine.  Once again we had no ‘2’s today.
