Pattaya County Club was the challenge today and we departed in heavy rain which lasted as far as the 331 and then it was fairly dry to the course. After an easy check-in we were off the first tee 45 minutes early in dry conditions and with a bit of sun. Light rain returned on the 13th hole and got heavier until we finished the 18th and then it just pelted it down for about another half hour.

The course was in good shape other than being wet in patches. It looks like they are about to sand the fairways as there are big piles of sand along most of them.
Back in the clubhouse after a round of less than 4 hours we gave welcomes to Torben Sorensen and Kim Kjaeball from Denmark, and a welcome back to the just returned Karl Beter from Austria.
Scores were not great, especially on the back nine, with Karl Beter taking top spot on 34 points, eight up on Jon Swanson in second while Dave Richardson took third with a whopping 23.
