PSC golf from the I-Rovers Sports Bar
Tuesday, Dec. 17, Plutaluang E & S – Stableford
Just a handful of players for Navy today, some say it’s too hard, some say it’s not in good condition, some say they just don’t like all the trees in the middle of the fairways. Personally, I love it. It’s got the equal best caddies in Pattaya (with Emerald), and yes it is hard and long and the green are renowned for being very slow, but golf wasn’t meant to be too easy.
Overall the course today was in fairly good condition, they were actually sanding the greens about three holes behind us all day. The weather was perfect, light to medium breeze and with sparkling blue skies. Play moved along ok, and the company was fantastic. What better way to spend a day in Pattaya?
We saw some good scores returned today, especially on the back nine. Bjorn from Sweden came back today with his new clubs just purchased from Central Shopping Mall, and considering he hasn’t played in 3 months he swung the club beautifully but as we all know, sometimes that doesn’t equate to a great score.
Paul Blackshaw (hcp 11) took the top spot again with 82 gross, 46 on the front and 36 on the back for 37 points and had a few lip out as well for a few more birdies. Rocky Jenks (hcp 17) had a good back nine as well to record 33 points for second. Well played guys!
